hi all, just thought id share this, spent part of the day in the workshop building myself a small trailer for my small tractor.

been finding it impossible to find something the right size either far too big or ther atv ones seem a bit too small (and expensive) so i made one, bit low to the ground but itll do for the little use i need of it....

and please excuse the mess in the workshop, will have to get round to that at some point

Nice bit of work. I see you,ve left a enough room for a crane on the draw bar.I see there is a nice wee truck mount manual crane on eBay you could use for an idea. Might want to beef up the pressed steel hitch if you,re going for big loads - looks like a 750kg but I,m probably wrong:blushing: As for the condition of the workshop - looks all to familiar to me:biggrin:

cheers for the possitive replies, was expecting some nit-picking types telling me its too low and wont get far in the woods with those fixed axles...

the space on the draw bar is for an ammo box to be bolted down, the trailer is only really for timber small enough to hand ball on.... have a larger tractor coming and planning on building a larger trailer for that, going to convert an old scammell 6 ton trailer (picking up 7 of them next week)

and yes that is a little screener behind, the right size for a barrow beneath it. scheppach 400 (i think), not mine the owner wants me to mount a mixer engine on it so its a bit more portable....

What you use 2" box section or larger? Great job. Love a bit of welding..

Yes 2" box section, actually came from the frame of a small lean-to that i dismantled last week, and the axles were £10 each from the scrap yard down the road, i think the most expensive thing here was the paint!!!
