i love my gransfors bruks scandi forest axe for small stuff at home, they do a large splitting axe which looks lovely

Fiskars X27 is the best I've used.

I've not used many, but the Fiskars X27 is way better than the mauls I've tried before. If you buy one, order it from Amazon dot com as its way cheaper to get it from the States and have it shipped than to buy in the UK (as a previous thread on here mentioned).

I have a gransfors splitting maul, and IMO its not heavy enough or the handle long enough to deal with heardwood.

Fiskars X27 for me, trouble is after I let my lad use mine while I was doing something else I had to buy another one, certainly makes life a bit easier.

i have one and tbh theres not a lot it wont split, splits some stuff i didnt think would split

another vote for the fiskars although mine is the older version of the x27 mines the super splitter
