  1. Will take forever with an axe - I’d hire a petrol splitter if you can get one for a reasonable price. Still be a week’s work though, maybe more.
  2. Thanks Kev- much appreciated
  3. If I may jump in, if anyone has similar in Surrey (KT8 area) then I’d be happy to pay for a delivery. Can be as rooty and unprocessed as you like; I’m happy to process at home.
  4. Looking for arb waste (ideally ringed) that I can process for my own domestic use. Happy to pay a reasonable amount to cover your time, fuel and a couple of drinks!
  5. On a similar note, if anyone has any green wood (or arb waste) that I can process at home then please let me know. I had a great supply when I lived in Hertfordshire but have now moved to Surrey.
  6. Have just had Spud rework and port my 262XP; used it for a while yesterday and it's astonishingly good. If it's louder, I really can't tell. But it's an absolute beast, that's for sure. Highly recommended.

<p>I've got the opportunity to acquire a Husqvarna 570 - about 5 years old, in good condition other than the fact the seller reckons it needs a new barrel and piston.</p>

<p>Assuming that's the sum total of the fix needed, how much would you charge to rectify and service. Ballpark number only, which I accept might change once it got into your workshop.</p>

  8. As a buyer I'd refuse to deal with anyone who refused returns and wanted to settle out of eBay - there's a load of scammers on the selling side too.
  9. Agreed on the 365. Since getting mine I've barely used my Echo 420, good though it is.
  10. Spud Does a muffler mod always increase the noise level? If so, how much? I'm keen on more power, but not on more noise. This is for a 365 Special, completely stock.
  11. I'm a user rather than a seller, so my advice may be way off, but I'd have thought that if you're selling it for open fires you'd do well to keep it separate. For log burner guys like me, who burn pretty much anything so long as it's properly seasoned it wouldn't impact the price either way so long as it wasn't too high a percentage of the overall load.
  12. It does spit a bit, yes. I had some that I seasoned for two years and it was still spitting a little, but then I'm using it in a log burner so that was less of a problem. Burns well though.
  13. I've recently got an old 365 Special. Compared to my everyday Echo 420 it's bigger, heavier, and altogether less nimble. But for bigger stuff - I'm using a 20" bar - it's absolutely excellent. I just cut firewood with mine, so it's more of a hobbyist point of view than that of a working professional. Seems more than rugged enough, though possibly a bit heavy if you're using it all day every day.
  14. Pete, not sure if PMs getting through? Interested in probably 2 large trailers of wood.
