I kinda of resent the reference, "wtf is this army,navy, marine core crap on the side on the side of his wagon is all about":thumbdown: Here in the USA there are thousands of companies showing support for troops in the field and many have their children actively serving in the Military, my Daughter included.

The video aside now you know from someone who's family member proudly serves with the USN:thumbup1:

The idea of writing army navy RAF down the side of my work truck seems ridiculous to me , I support them, I would have a large window sticker(not to large) on my truck but not in the biggest boldest letters down the side then repeatedly go on about sissys and risking your life in a promo vid for my company whilst carrying on doing the most shocking tree work I've seen by a so called pro do , it really does not do any favours in enforcing the worlds opinion that Americans are gun ho trigger happy retards ..

 

I'm sorry if my opinion offends you,as all i can genuinaly say is I hope your daughter comes home safe.

if someone put a video on here of a british company doing shoddy or dangerous work and some of our american members made out that all british company`s worked that way i think there would be a quick response, but some of the posts on here seem to be tarring all americans with the same brush.

As I stated earlier in my reply I do not condone or endorse the Video. It tends to speak for it's self IMO. Some folks here in America feel very strongly about supporting the troops. Most folks that have military ties fly the American Flag on a daily basis send supplies over to the troops and loved ones that are not available and in general are good people. I am not so concerned about, "doing any favors in enforcing the worlds opinion that Americans are gun ho trigger happy retards" for myself I really think it is more important to keeping things in perspective and consider the sources making claims about Americans in general. BTW I do fly the American Flag along with the US Navy Flag 24/7 365. I support all branches of the Military along with US allies:thumbup1:. I have some small bumper stickers supporting the US Navy on my Trucks, and most important I support the rights of others both for and against silly tree videos or folks in support of or against the Military. Will be shipping the daughter back to base this Sunday and she had a lovely time with family/friends for the Holidays.

It has happened I remember a great thread on arbor site years ago slagging off Brits and are work .... Went on for about Pages ,thank steve for arb talk Other wise we would of seen probably many more,Any how I don't see any one tarring state side firms with the same brush, like hear there are proper pros (some of the best!) and rouge traders I just find the gun ho attitude comical and stereo typical in this particular vid.

Having never been to America thank you for the insight of something I have no experience of , as a country I would say most support are troops but don't show patriotism to the degree of that... Sounds like your daughter will be having a second Christmas !! Hope you all have a good time being together!

As for Americans at work, Its not true that they all work like that and a good amount of them are very good. You have to remember that they dont have the anal view of health and safety that we do. The problem is companies like the one in this video with the look at me i am american and the best at "risking my life so you dont have to" approach. This is just laughable and what gives Americans a bad name. Its the same in every country, its the loud mouth idiots that think they are super humans that everyone sees and hears, so giving a bad impression of the rest. Unfortunately for America there is a large quantity of the loud mouth idiots.

It aint like that everywhere ursox, this is the worst example! Here on Long Island are some top companies, with all the gear! Prentice loaders, big equipment, and bloody good climbers! A bit old school, bbut I worked with some of em, and they are good, believe me.
