Bit windy!!

Lost part of one of my shed roofs last night, put it back on today.

Few trees down near me last night, council seem to be dealing with it this morning though, one of the small (but busy) lanes was blocked as far as i could tell with a large macrocarpa:scared1:

 

Has that knackered beech in the field not gone over yet? Don't know how that is still standing!

Thats not chapter 8 mate and that felling cut is shocking!!!!!!

That was before Andrew turned up with all the cones and stuff, that "cut" was pretty weird, the tree had just snapped off about a foot below ground, there was no roof flare whatsoever. I suspect due to the ground level being raised some years ago. Big tree, was probably 80 foot.

When your driving to mine. You go past Taylor's farm and then after the sharp bend where there is a white metal fence on your left, there's a large beech that's got some serious dieback! Some ganos forming in the buttresses too this year. Need to get out an have a gander.

When your driving to mine. You go past Taylor's farm and then after the sharp bend where there is a white metal fence on your left, there's a large beech that's got some serious dieback! Some ganos forming in the buttresses too this year. Need to get out an have a gander.

 

Ah that one, have you checked its still standing?

I went past just before Christmas and it was still there. Would like to know of it still is after these winds! I might have a wander tomorrow.
