Hail here too. Looking south from the top of Caterham I could see the South Downs left of Gatwick, couldn't even see the M25 to the right!

Well Longleat was fine with a clear sky. Now on south coast and it's chucking it down. Bedroom has an adjacent flat roof and the constant noise is keeping me awake. Heck. I've ridden motorcycles that were quieter than this.

06:30 and the rain has ceased its beat but is still coming down. Not often I go away to worse weather. Can't honestly say it's a comfort.

Was out stump grinding yesterday, was raining all day, cold bitter rain. the area got so flooded the machine sunk down over a foot, was lucky I managed to get loose. put a board in the front and lower the arm managed to lift up the front of the machine and put boards below the tracks. I was swearing and cursing myself for not having a winch.
