My wife got back from Melbourne last week and said it was easily the most expensive place she has been . The cost of living over there must be scandalous and quite prohibitive now for people wanting to relocate.

Some food and houses are much more expensive than in the UK. LPG to use in vehicles was cheap. I found the tree shapes strange to normal here and when it goes dark.

1 bed flat ( nothing special ) $435,000.. bottle cider $15. tin beans over$2.

ice skating session $30.

Take plenty of money would be my advice !!

Considering much fruit is grown there it was expensive and cannot move produce between states due to regulations. Nice stable weather most of the time unless bushfires.

The Australian government is now paying people to move from Sydney into the rural areas as difficult to keep up with housing demands and fresh water supplies.
