I enjoyed that Video Matt,thanks.

Do they really frown upon repeating Shotguns on Shoots like that?

Not really. We have a good variety of guns brought to crichel. We have a few antique days which have boxlocks, sidelocks and double hammer guns brought along. We also have a double gun muzzle loading day. Great fun as long as the wind is blowing away from ya.

Yes they do Mike.........I was somewhat taken aback by the amount of over and unders today.........bit of a towny crowd methinks........

Matt- I used to be involved with a shoot that started out from Bishops Court farm at Shapwick. We used to drive across about 3k acres of farmland all around the area.

My dad and i used to beat over at Langton Long before it folded. We shoot ducks and Tarrant Crawford on the watermeadows too.

if you`ve ever attented a driven pheasant day i think you`ll find that they dont blast away randomly at everything that gets up off the ground, if you did you would most probably get your marching orders off the shoot, i dont think there is no mistaking a pheasant in flight and i know a few experienced shots who have been caught out by a white bird when silloueted against the sky.
