I've helped loads of lads who have started up pricing jobs including hodge on bigger jobs. If you're not too far away I'd be happy to come down and help you price the job.

I'm sorry but didn't come out of the whome with twenty five years experience under the belt I guess ill just have to go down the route of trial and error and drawing on others greater knowledge than myself by POSTING on forums like this!! Honestly sometimes I feel that somepeople take great offence to people trying to better their selves. :confused1::confused1:

We all have to start somewhere but if you are asking for advice then you might not like all the answers. The price you are suggesting for 3 men for 2 days is very cheap and people are going to take offence if the reason you can afford to do it at that price is something they don't find acceptable. :001_smile:

He does have a valid point though. If everyone keeps going in lower and lower, it won't be worth doing. Problem with that is,a lot of us rely on this industry. If it gets to the point we can't afford to keep doing it, theres gonna be a lot of people in trouble.

Keep prices realistic, and remember, we live in a fundamentally capitalist society! Businesses that make no money can't last long

So why worry???

We all had to learn from either under or over pricing, some of us are still learning :blushing:

2 blokes and chipper about £350 a day, i think if i was anymore people would get a 'do as you likey' to do it,

never undercut yourself or people round you or the prices will just keep going down, i know

builders who charge 200 a day and they havnt got ticket and insurance and mad tree skillz!

What we do its not only dangerous but pretty hard on your body and cost money.

As I said, if people repeatedly go in low, general prices go down, consequently everyone suffers

Only if you try to compete and as you said they will go bust, so just leave them to it.

But they won't go bust if it's not a level playing field :001_smile:

Life is never a level playing field.

Some are more skilled, some get financial help from family or friends, some are farmers sons with land and machines available at no cost, etc, etc.

My advice is to concentrate on yourself and the thing within your control, not worrying about others.
