had my tibet forests about a month and cant fault them so far, comfy and loads of ankle support. dont think they would be good for climbing though as they are a bit higher.

when i got mine northern arb supplies had an offer on them at 165 which seemed fairly cheap:001_smile:

The protector pro's and trekker mountain are basically the same boot but trekker is shorter. Both a great solid boot that will last, will keep you feet dry even if you are wading about in wet ground all day. If you like the feel of walking in rigid ski boots then go for the protector pro's but trekkers give you far better movement and are better for climbing in. I was given a pair of protector pro's from a company i used to work for, after a few days I threw them in the garage and put my own trekkers back on.

difficult one this, i've owned elten fellsmen , haix pro climber , some other not worth mentioning brands and currently clima air tirol's .

the first are ultimate climing boots but don't last long on the soles, the haix are dissapionting if you do a lot of jumping ,scrambling, running and kicking stuff in and around the crown, they just fall apart, the clima air's i'm confident will last 3 plus years but only feel confident on spikes in the tree ,you still can climb in them but you have to get used to not using the center of your foot as the sole is just smooth there, and on the ground there average, you seem set on haix but at the first sighn of anything ripping take them to the cobblers as haix themselves aren't very co'operative if you have a problem with there product.
