Can you elaborate please mate? My old man is currently involved in a battle against wind farm developers in Northumberland.

 

Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT's) More reliable. Safe in storms. Little noise compared to the propeller versions.

There are two small versions at Ikea in Nottingham for those interested in wind energy.

U seem to know a bit about this, why can't they make a turbine where the blades twist so when it's too windy they can twist the blades and it'll turn slower? There must be a reason why not though. I'm sure they do it in variable vane turbo's
