You, or your friend, are indeed correct although the theory has to be checked, rechecked and proven. Could be interesting though.

Interesting news, only problem with current means of transport it is est. to take only 22,000 years to get to this location. I think I will wait for the movie instead.

If one sets up a laser powered by the sun its beam can push a sail on a space ship, it will gradually increase in its push till the velocity of light is reached.
