Blakeston boy eh? My old man lives in the Heartburn Fairfield area. Near the bottom end of surbiton. Got a few friends living In Norton but I have been away from the are for quite a number of years. I still get back up there now and again to see the family.

Do you still live up there? What's the work situation like?

Yeah I still live, here mate working a Largs utility contract at the minute so work is steady away, do you have a d/cab landy by any chance??

One doesn't go on about how big and awesome he was. The other comes down harness off and helps out.

thats what a groundie would say! if i had to come down from the canopy and do the groundies job and my own work, and climb twice as much for the pleasure of assisting the groundies i would be a very p off climber very very quickly!

Good communication with ground crew, lets everyone know what and how he his going to do something. No surprises. You can tell you're watching a good climber when you never have to hold your breath, heart in your throat no matter what he is doing.

Working with the crew to get the job done sooner, and not just his part of it. Nothing takes longer than pulling apart a huge tangle of branches. Spoken like a groundy cos that's where I started.

So you're one of those 'holier than thou' climbers who comes down and kicks back? Too good to drag are you?
