A few pics of the last two days removing christmas trees

Recommended Posts

I have been on a SSSI site felling an old christmas tree plantation along side a nice valmet 911 harvester for the last two days, had to do some of the trees on the slopes and brashing out some of the outside trees. We had a bit of bother getting the harvester up the final slope yesterday, so had a nice little excavator on site to complete the track and help the harvester in, the excavator belongs to arbtalk member LPGeddie  as part of the work an access road had to be created and this will be restored after the timber is out. Its been a fun couple of days but very hard work at times some of the trees were on slopes that it was hard to stand upright on, funny watching them bounce off down the hillside

anyway enjoy the pictures
