Only done a tandem jump before. Chap at work has done lots including the Himalayas. I think he has a friend in Slovenia (maybe Slovakia) that teaches it and is very reasonable for a fun holiday.

I used to do it

sadly just do not have time to commit you really need to be able to drop everything and go just when the wind is right.

I still have it in the loft and keep thinking about getting it out again.

Pretty dodgy and dangerous though in all reality.

I had a fair amount of close ones and a couple that ended up in hospital

when my son leaves home I hope to start again:thumbup:

There is not an experience like it:thumbup:

My mate used to do it, used to do it before he broke both legs....

I saw some guy do it in the alps a couple of years ago, then watched him plummet to the ground as the wing collapsed.

Ditto!

I flew hang gliders and paragliders, put it all on hold since kids and starting a business. Takes over your life! There is nothing like thermaling wingtip to wingtip with a a buzzard or a red kite.

My mate at work showed me a video on his friend took while paragliding abroad - a vulture swooped in and got trapped in his lines so he had to open a reserve and make a quick landing through some trees. Madness!

Well after a good deal of reading and chatting to others that have done it I decided it was not going to be worth it as it seems you spend most of your time running around tracking up and down the country spending wads of cash on fule to different sites only to find you cannot get air Bourne . So now looking into having a go at kite surfing as it seems there you get a lot more time on the board .
