That is a good start,get a length of any rope you have to hand & get them knots so many times you cant forget them,and remember TDS,(tie,dress,set).

As in tie the knot,dress it up to make sure it is all correct & tidy,then set it by loading it & removing any slack or bunched parts from the knot.:001_smile: I often practice with small diameter rope from a chandlers,but best off using the rope diameter you intend to use for work,as they have different dress & set characteristics.:001_smile:
