:thumbup:What knots will i learn in my 38?, it would be nice to roughly know them before the course starts. I want to put myself in the best possible position before i start it

figure 8 stopper knot, bowline and how to make a friction hitch to get out the tree out of your rope.

Think it was the tautline hitch from your bowline on to the running end and finished with figure 8 as said.

Theres nothing to worry about you will be able to do it blindfolded by the end of the course.

That is a good start,get a length of any rope you have to hand & get them knots so many times you cant forget them,and remember TDS,(tie,dress,set).

As in tie the knot,dress it up to make sure it is all correct & tidy,then set it by loading it & removing any slack or bunched parts from the knot. I often practice with small diameter rope from a chandlers,but best off using the rope diameter you intend to use for work,as they have different dress & set characteristics.

you will also be taught a double fishermans so you can create a prussik loop from a length of rope.

Buntline and munter hitch will do no harm to have to.

Your bowline and blake's hitch with a stopper knot is your 3 knot system, you can add stopper knots to both bowline and blake's if you want.
