Guys some of you may already know this and for those apologies ,

There is a change to the law coming in on the 4 Dec regarding small trailers which in basic terms means if you are using your vehicle and trailer for hire and reward ie paid business currently trailers with an unladen weight not exceeding 1020kgs are no problem, but after 4 Dec if the total weight or potential weight IE the trailer is platted at say 1 ton and the truck gross is 2.5 tons whether laden or not, Or the maximum train weight equals 3.5 tons then it will need a vehicle operating license HGV class 3 and a taco fitted.

So as I understand it all Goods vehicles towing trailers for hire and reward where the maximum train weight exceeds 3.5 tonnes will be affected by this. !!!

just for your info :-)

Blame Ebay for people selling cars which are MOT failures.

'NEEDS TO BE TRAILERED AWAY' is a common note.

bet the police have had a field day on non-professionals bombing down the M1.

If its your car on the trailer and your not being payed, its not a problem.
