Rope Wrench feedback

Thanks for sharing. The other pin is much less snag prone. Stiff tether and corner trap resolves that issue as well.

 

Yes that's what I thought and I'll be trying it next time out. Except the corner trap, I don't see how that would make any difference as the fisherman's are tight on top of the Ultra O.

My 'event' today occurred because I didn't tend the hitch and RW, this allowed the RW to swing round the other side and the tether caught on the pin. Totally my error. I would be seriously injured or dead if I had been in a more open tree!

Anyway, I didn't die and the Wrench is still the love of my life. :biggrin:

the corner trap is only for use with the stiff tether. It should be available with the Stiff tethers. If not using a stiff tether its not going to do anything for you but I have been finding that using a stiff tether with a fixe pully and the new wrench really improves your situation quite a bit.

 

Ok but I don't see a corner trap in your photos on the previous page. Can you explain please.
