Rope Wrench feedback

Recommended Posts

There is a safe way to anchor midline and that by tying a bowline on a bight (BOAB) which gives you 2 loops that go either side of the other part of the line. The krab goes through both loops and doesn't pull onto the limb or get cross loaded. I'll put some pics up later when I get back from work.

Yeah, quality think I understand that but a picture would confirm it

Thanks

Wow cool vid, I always tied that knot differently, like a double bowline. Wonder if its the same?

BTW I been using the wrench a lot lately, really getting the hang of it now :)

I was thinking, instead of LOTS, for short ascents, would some sort of bracelet round the wrist, connected to the wrench, or hitch, not be easier method of keeping the system from not being between your legs? Just an idea.......

Just an old one, remove te valve and place on your upper body but making a twist so it fig 8 it's self. Like webbing to make a chest harness. Then just clip a crab on the front and clip I to the uni top hole or the hitch climber.

I can't take credit for this as I saw it on a YouTube vid, but if you wear braces apparently you can use an accessory krab clipped through your braces onto hitch climber/wrench to help advance the system. Admittedly I've not tried it but the idea is there!
