Rope Wrench feedback

Recommended Posts

any help is much appreciated, so no disrespect taken, been used to the spiderjack its been a bit of a learning curve going back to knots, i weigh between 12.5 and 13 stone, I'm wondering because I'm using a small length cord (65cm) its binding easier, also noticed that I'm burning through the cord pretty quickly too i clip into all sorts haha, trying everything, clipped into the the top of the tether, the bottom and the ring that its all attached too, I'm suing a petal pulley now as i didn't like the way the tether sat next to the hitch climber, ill post a pic of what my set up looks like

Sounds a combination of too short hitchcord for that cord type your weight ratio and your mind for not liking the way something sits!!

Ditch the petzl pulley go back to the hitchclimber, forget what it looks like it does the job an extremely well IMO. Get yourself a 70/75cm length of beeline and try a 3 wrap Knut! Tell me it's not working then and I'll give you my complete setup! Rope hitchcord pulley tether and wrench! An I'll even start using Ddrt with a Prussic for a whole month!!

I think you need to wash up mate!

Quick glance it looks fine mate, if it's a little slippery or won't bite straight away then pull the 2 legs apart so that it dresses the hitch a little tighter! Then fiddle with it and job should be a good n' you ain't gonna see what it's like until you get out the house though really mate ;)
