Dodgy Bodgers

Not sure where this will go..

During my relatively short life time I've come across several (lots) of cringe worthy bodges,I've done a few myself.

Whilst helping a friend re fit a cylinder head on old Peugeot we realised the torque wrench didnt adjust low enough, when I returned the next day with correct wrench the car was running.??? When I asked how he'd done it he replied he'd set the wrench as low as it would go and stopped tightening the bolts before it clicked.

Regular bodges i encounter include:-

Insulation tape to repair leaking hydraulic pipes.

 

Baler cord to replace handbrake cables(although it has multiple uses)

 

Twin&earth cable twiddled together to make battery cables.

 

Anyone else got some horror bodges they want to share?? I've got some more but I'll wait to see what the rest of you come up with...
