Hey guys,

I need a favour from someone in france please!!

I need a stihl 192t pricing up and if possible the postage fee, I can't seem to find any stihl dealers in france willing to help me out despite trying my best french!

I'd really appreciate it as i'm desperate for a 192t:001_tongue: I will of course return the favour somehow. With in reason :001_tt2:

Thanks in advance!

Dak

I could probably send you one from NL, €399 inc vat, so about £290, ex vat wich you should not have to pay for an export, tracked insured parcel will be about £20. I'm off that way the first week of Dec.

Bro I might just take you up on the offer...

You off to work there?

No, je suis une Dutchman. I just accidently married an English woman whilst working here for a few years and kind of got stuck.:laugh1:

In NL we celebrate "St Nicholaas", also known as "Sinterklaas". the root of the dreaded "Santa claus". It's on the evening of the 5th of Dec and equals British X-mas in "festiveness". This means we always go Dutch the first week of Dec and always have X-mas in the UK, avoiding any international grandparent wars.:thumbup1:

Hello,

If you can't source one then we could perhaps help although we use one and its a feeble thing compared to the 200t.

However, I like using it because its lightweight.

Seems a lot of trouble though for a few euros saving...

Almost every thing we buy is from the U.K and typical saving is 25% over the French prices.

Haha nice one works out kinda well then I guess!! Although the idea of TWO Christmas's would make me freak, I'm in denile untill Dec 24th.

I hadn't thought of NL as a source to be honest..

It would be great if you could sort that thank you very much. I used one for a few months and fell in love with it straight away although few durability issue but i'll be gentle!

Hartelijk dank Rover!:thumbup1:

I'm in Germany, not France, so probably can't help - however I have seen one of these on sale at my local "OBI", which I was quite tempted by. Anyone know what they're like?

I think the choice of arb / firewood products is better over here than in a UK DIY shed. As a couple of examples, the local OBI sells 10 ton splitters and 4.5kW saws for logging!

Right then, I've emailed my Dutch local suppliers to ask if they'd be happy to chuck it in the post if I go there and pay for it etc, as Stihl NL also ban the sending of saws.

I'm going over by train though so cannot take it myself. It should also make the VAT thing easier as they should charge no vat if goods are exported but would need either an official export certificate from the port authorities or proof of international postage. The latter is far easier to achieve and I'm not certain if for the export certificate etc you'd need to pay as well, apart from the extra hassle I'm not prepared to go through as traveling across two counries on lots of different trains (13 trains last trip) with twin 4 year olds is quite enough hassle already.

I'll let you know their reply:001_cool:
