Lee, great photo thread btw, I was down playing golf near Malaga recently.

Noticed a lot of the Palms, especially on the course had implanted tubes (unconnected) coming out of the trunks at about 6/7 feet. Wondered if it was for insecticide/nutrient boost?

 

Did you note anything like that?

At least they're not as bad as this lot!!!

 

Taken last year in Egypt, I don't think that they're too hot on H and S!!!

I saw the same thing mate, the trees had an insecticide warning sign on them, my guess is they use the tubes for both fert and bug killer..

 

A Brit over there recently bought a few decent palms for his villa, he told me they cost £800 don't thin k they were much bigger than 9' high
