I liked everything about it Ed, i'm not sure about the tow hitch thingy though.

I like the way everything is accesable, I like the way it crunches up those bloody forks with ease, imo its a very good strong chipper, its very compact for a 9'' chipper too.

Saying that I havn't had a demo of any other chippers in its class, obviously i'd have to give the others a try before I made my final purchase.

Interesting see what you end up buying Rolla,Ive never seen or used either.

As Ed said a bandit 9" is a good machine..used plenty of them.

Braked 150 pre mid 2005 a tad over the 750kg wet weighed. As Toddster says, remove the spare wheel from the load funnel = sub 750kg.

Braked 150s since mid 2005 are 746kg - spot on Maxi!

Sorry, you are probably correct, the last one I weighed was back in 2004, the only way to make that one weigh under 750 was to remove spare and discharge chute and clean it!

A few years back, a company I was working for had a 330 Premier, and Ithink it was Kendall Machinery brought out a Bandit 9" to demo to us. We put them sideby side, chipping hawthorn hedge trees, the 330 finished its pile first, with time to spare. The chappie was a bit disgruntled, having travelled a long way out to us, and commented that if he'd known what he was up against he'd have stayed at home. Ok that was about 6 or 7 year ago, and perhaps things have changed. But it stuck in my mind, and would definitely sway my opinion over the better machine.

Sorry Andy, I cant accept that. Maybe he brought out a model 65.

A bandit 90 since its inception has an infeed of 250 x 400mm and 80hp, plus hydraulic crush ram, and 45 degree disk. Its essentially a cut down model 150 12" machine.

By comparison, a new 350 Schliesing has an infeed opening of only 230 x 270mm, 50hp, right angle rotor, and spring infeed.

This is not a crticism of the Schliesing, but its outclassed by the big ugly Bandit.

i heard greenmech were garbage?

You heard right Bill, but its probably not fair on garbage to think its as bad as a Greenmech! Weve got 2 Greenmech Eco Combi that sit in the corner of the yard, no one will use them cos there completely useless, even on small material. The boss hires in Timberwolfs for jobs, they just run and get it done, no frills. Its crazy cos all that dosh in the Greenmechs is sitting doing nothing but then I work for a council! Reckon if it was a private busness Greenmech would be giving money back plus compo, but no one in the council shouts because it makes the powers that be look bad for buying them in the first place!

Cant believe the Greenmech dude on here disses and name calls other makes!!!
