throw lines are either heaven or hell. always get stuck when you need it least.

Got mine stuck today. Even the dream combo of Harrison Rocket and Zing-It lost when I threw it over a torn out Oak limb wound at 35ft. I could hardly pull the bloody thing out with my hands after huffing and puffing up there!

can be your best frend or your worst enemy even worse when you have one of them little bags. you give it a rite good wang and end up with a bag 40ft in the tree

But what about getting. THE SHOT! FIRST SHOT! man how good does that feel, if there was no bad there would be no reward always 2 sides. Couple of little tricks tho is to make a little cut couple inch from the bag and when u pull it will snap there.( i personally dont use this method but seen it done and work)

 

the other is, get your (hopefully) second throwbag/line and throw higher and parallel with the other. drop bag to ground line perfect line with the other and clip bineer on to stuck throwbag and then pull all the way up and it should pull the stuck bag outta the crocth and lower to the ground.

 

i use that abit and works very well, just have to get the SHOT haha. but alot of the time instead of fannying about its quicker just to go back up, but its all practice what ever way you look at it.

Never, never, never. That is a defeatists trick Matt!

 

Mixed week on the bag (horribly stuck once), but a sublime first-time shot on a Cypress yesterday restored the karma, and twice today the bag saved me from climbing at all.

 

The more I practice with it, the luckier I get!

 

I am sad, though, and the cube quite often comes with me and my dog up the woods.

 

And yes, I have had to walk home to pick up my climbing kit....
