Do you need a BIG 4X4, our 1.8 petrol Mitzy Pinin will tow the TW180 fine, 30-35mpg. Room for kit if you don't have pasengers..:001_smile: High and low ratio's and center dif lock. Great fun to drive.

 

Their's a nice H&S photo if their ever was one.:001_tongue::001_smile:

My mate's got a Terrano with 180k on the clock, he tows around a 2 ton Predator stump grinder around all day with it and it does it with ease. It's never missed a beat, he has to replace the brakes fairly often though!!!!!!! He drives a bit like a loon!!!!!!!!

stood on the roof of a truck... with no fall arrest system in place, no parachute, no st johns ambulance on standby, no flashing amber beacon on his head?....scandalous

 

 

im guessing thats what chris v8 was reffering to, cant see anything other than that in the pic that would make me think h+s .... but what do i know, im a cowboy:wink:

Tree beard you are right . But you forgot he had to fill in a risk assesment before he did all of these things.:001_tongue:

You forgot the railings, they should have had a cover fitted in case he fell on them

Out of interest Ben, your chipbox looks well, what have you made it out of.

The chip box is made of ply/angle iron with big tool box. Cheap and easy to build. The tool box is great. It is a bit small for most 3 man days/takedowns, but we thought we'd be less likely to overload it....and we have another transit. We'll normaly fill it with chip and put logs in the other. The weight is on the high side, but I don't think doing it in aly would save enough weight to make it worth while.. The signs make it look tidy.
