One for you guys in the know, recently the timber market has gone crazy, but what sort of money is cordwood delivered for processing at the moment?

Purely out of curiosity:sneaky2:

I was at a fuelwood conference recently - there are companies selling a cube dumpy bag of logs for £120! and they are very very busy.

As for delivered timber, budget £25 -£40 per tonne delivered in.

I've just told my Millionaire neighbour friend I'm not willing to supply his firewood needs because he doesn't want to pay me enough.

He offered to take two level landrover loads a week for £100 a load for the forseeable future.

I wish I could have taken a photo of his face when I told him to stick it, it was class.

£150 a load and I would have shaken his hand

selling a cubic meter at around £55-60

delivered in is about £30+ per tonne if you can get the wood

not worth selling for anything less after all the fuel used, rent for storage, storage containers, repairs etc

Cheers for that guys, looks like £30+/ton is the norm then for nice stuff.

I have started this season selling bulk bags at £60 delivered or £3/ small bag(all well seasoned hardwood). Seems around the norm around us, but it looks like i will have more market than i can produce logs for, just from tree surgery timber. Hence the query.

So roughly how many cube are you guys getting per ton of timber?
