thanks for all replies.

 

its looks like a pain in the ass owning a truck..so i'll just skip that idea. to many rules and regs.

 

Unimog sounds for better idea, though most my work is residential. mind you the winters we had last year it would have helped out a lot.

My work is residential as well. Ive never been unable to get into a driveway that I couldn't get my transit into. Only thing to be careful with is drains and the Mogs weight.

we run a 17 tonner chipwagon with a big palfinger hiab for the stems but could not be without a 3.5tonner for smaller jobs and tight access.

No point getting a bigger vehicle without a bigger chipper:thumbup:

 

the wagon generally makes more money a week but needs to to pay for it:thumbup1:

just read through info regarding unimog rules and if you reg it a argiculture vehicle then no more than 25 miles away from base allowed and motorway rules etc...sounds like a pain in ass also.

 

looks like a 3.5t is best all round fro tree work and cheapest less hassle to run.
