What’s the point of catching something if you aren’t going to eat it?

thats fine, for you, and others.

 

but for me, i know it is better for the ecosystem to allow the big ones to get away to breed and further Big boy genes, it also means that someone else may catch him and be proud to hold a 10lb plus bass.

How does the big boy thing hold up with sustainability?

 

If it were a necessity surely commercial fishing would have maximum return sizes rather than minimum

 

Sounds to me like it’s more about trophy and ignore the suffering.
