346 is alive again! That needle thing leaked alot, it has somekind of step on the Rubber head. Today fitted new and all is good! Thank you all alot!

Next one on my bench is 261 stihl (not m tronic)...new bearings and crank+gaskets. Previous ones lasted 1,5 years homeowner usage... :001_huh: not much i think.

Got problem with the ms 261, new crank, bearings and seals+intake are all in but i have to open the L jet nearly 3 turns to get good throttle response and i have to tighten tje LA screw 5 turns in if i want it to idle good. It stihl has limiter cap on H jet. It is the first time i use it on "aspen" would it be that carburetor needs Cleaning at ultrasonic or what?

Does someone have similar problems on these ms 261 saws? Thanks if someone can point me on right direction (again)

What happens if you put the L screw on factory settings, do the revs race ? It sounds like a massive air leak to me. Has the saw been pressure checked, has the impulse line been connected?

Hi. I havent pressure tested it yet, new seals are in and all gaskets to case and cylinder. Saw wont race when it is in factory settings, it bogs when i pull tje trigger fast. Like it doesnt have fuel. What is the correct fuel level on this c1q xxx carburetor? Today i tried the best settings and it was L 2 turns out and H fully open (still has limited cap on) It is really od that before that was ok but now i fueled it on "aspen" and all this happens.

And ms 261 stihl wont have separate impulseline. So that it wont be fault.

The tune of a machine running Aspen will be very similar to that of one running on E10 petrol.

If following E5 petrol with Aspen it could be that the L screw would need richening very slightly, but this should be no more than 1/8 of a turn out.

If following ethanol free petrol then the L screw may need to be richened just a touch more, but no more than 1/4 turn.

After the amount of work you have done to your saw I strongly suspect that the cause of your problem is related to the work rather than the fuel.

If you suspect that Aspen is the problem (which I doubt it will be) then put some petrol in and give that a try.

Reckon you need to check your work, particularly in relation to pressure/vac testing, compression, and impulse line integrity.

Eddy T: that is ddfenitely on my list next!

Gardenkit: you where right about my work, i just pressurised fuelline wich comes from top of the tank to carb... it wasnt holding pressure when i "jank it" it has very very small hole near at the carburetor end.

So thank you all for help!
