  1. Morning all, i have tried blues coil also but it said 14100 and i think its limited. It 4 stroke slightly all rew range, that brass thing was in carburetor body and thottleshaft was moving it. I have to set fuel level again, it is about 0,1mm under gasket level. H needle is now 1/4open and it is too rich. Have to go workshop know, but i report more att night. And its 2002 model if i remember right.
  2. Hi all, i have on my bench a hva 346xpg again, it has trouble to rew high enough I have tried 3 different coils on it and washed 3 times carburetor and adjusted needle lever to correct height. Tried new carburetor seal kit but no help at all. It just 4 strokes slightly all the time and wont turn "FRESH" rews. Carburetor was pulled apart and checked every moving part that i found including that brass piston pump thing in it. So can someone point me to right direction in this issue. I have had a lot of help from you before and hoping to have again. I cant answer very fast if someone has guestion to me because we have "summer tire/tyre season" in Finland now. (chanching studded tires to summer tires) it rews 12 800 rpm at max if someone likes to know.
  3. stihl 440: waiting new brake lever? that black thing anyway jonsered 520sp wich i ported and piped my self...needing new fuelcap and fuel hose. its running pretty well on wood and rews nicely but its very loud hmm,,,,that first picture is wrong way...sorry
  4. Oh and those are husgvarna 154/254 cylinders. And what to do make it better
  5. Wich cylinder would you port? Smaller or bigger combustion chamber one?
  6. Hi, it has worked two times for now and i just borrowed that to my friend I have seen the correct tool at shop. I havent got change to bought here the correct tool. Sorry if someone eyes hurts when look at it
  7. Jep, it has now about 0,48 sguish. I did little experiment on those pistons and just tested. Without basegasket it hit the top. So added 0,5mm gasket:headbanger, added 0,3mm on top of that and i assumed it had 0,8 mm to grind of...little tired and put together and tested it. No way that would work. Sguish was close to zero so now it wont have any base gasket and it works with that 1,3mm grounded piston with 0,48 about sguish. I was told two times that dont put two gaskets in because it flex and so on... my ears wont heard anybof those words But now its in testing that way. I have to order new piston and ring for it and then ground of the piston to correct sguish. This site and you gurus have told me much what and how to do... i just wasnt always listening
  8. If i look closely i can see a husqvarna, maybe 445?
  9. This is my self made oilpump bronze gear puller :-D
  10. Have maded few pistons to test...first the compression was a bit high... 225 only 5 pulls... with too small sguish with 1.0mm grinded piston. Now the 1,3mm grinded piston is in and compression is 195/198psi
  11. Yes, that did sounded good about an our... too small sguish and new bearings lasted only our previous piston had only about 0,34/0,33mm on top of the piston and compression was 225 with aspen. I thought it will be ok but not. Last night i put bottom together but that bronce worm gear is giving me trouble... i was veey tired and heated the bronce gear with gun and droppedit in, then realised that i havent put seal in i hate myself...
  12. Husky 262xp have to put it together (again) , stihl 026 bar and sprocket change, ms 261 bar and sprocket change also. Im guessing its going to be long night..
  13. Eddy T: that is ddfenitely on my list next! Gardenkit: you where right about my work, i just pressurised fuelline wich comes from top of the tank to carb... it wasnt holding pressure when i "jank it" it has very very small hole near at the carburetor end. So thank you all for help!
  14. Hi. I havent pressure tested it yet, new seals are in and all gaskets to case and cylinder. Saw wont race when it is in factory settings, it bogs when i pull tje trigger fast. Like it doesnt have fuel. What is the correct fuel level on this c1q xxx carburetor? Today i tried the best settings and it was L 2 turns out and H fully open (still has limited cap on) It is really od that before that was ok but now i fueled it on "aspen" and all this happens. And ms 261 stihl wont have separate impulseline. So that it wont be fault.
  15. Got problem with the ms 261, new crank, bearings and seals+intake are all in but i have to open the L jet nearly 3 turns to get good throttle response and i have to tighten tje LA screw 5 turns in if i want it to idle good. It stihl has limiter cap on H jet. It is the first time i use it on "aspen" would it be that carburetor needs Cleaning at ultrasonic or what? Does someone have similar problems on these ms 261 saws? Thanks if someone can point me on right direction (again)
