What's on your bench today?

Set of Facom crows foot spanners, i remember saying mid summer i could do with a set and never got round to getting them. Now i know why brother in law asked 2 weeks ago if i had any he could borrow.

Back on the bench is a tecumseh powersport engine that is not priming on the button, us cleaned carb and everything looks ok. Need to order a bowl seal for it as this one has completely perished.

Not heard much from you Rich - thought you were in hibrnation:lol:

I have pretty much all I need, last addditions were three palm ratchets and a nice anodised set of long reach sockets.

The Ultrasonic cleaner blew up just before Christmas so got a new one of those and the old one is on the bench as we speak, have replaced all the diodes as three of them were fried - still didn't work so now have two power transistors on order as they both had very different diode effect base to emitter and collector!

On the bench - just got to tach a MS200, Dolmar 143 and MS201. Got a 390XP in with a fried piston on Christmas eve, cleaned the cylinder up and got the piston on order so that and the carbon damaged MS200 are next up for completion.

Well the other half is always calling me a bear...... So I guess I have been hiding away. I don't do Xmas, too much noise and hassle IMO. Not what it used to be as it's just more about what people get than spending time with family now. Kids don't want to sit down and just spend time with each other now. Oh well, glad it's over and looking forward to some big changes in 2014.

Humbug!

But I agree that kids can't keep still for more than 15mins. at a time. Knew I oughtn't have given my nephew a book on escapology.

Presents come, are used/enjoyed, (hopefully). But family and friends, for me, they make the Yule a time of celebration, remembrance and a chance to look forward.

Bit of a change today, carved a big acorn out of oak to fit on a walking staff I am making, turned out rather well as a first attempt.

Other than that, I tached up a few saws and started work on one of my own saws, an MS650 that has a bent crank and has taken the top end out.

I am fitting a new crank, bearings, seals and have a decent top end to replace the worn one.

Should be a good saw when done.

Trying to resist the temptation to go to the workshop.

I don't really want to mend anything..........but the bench may need dusting:biggrin:

I was going to go today and have a nose at what's there. Just didn't have the drive this morn. Still recovering from Xmas.

The tools arnt going to run away so no rush.
