Been working on the Husky 262XP that had the worn gudgeon pin, fitted a new Meteor piston and small end bearing. Pressure check and vac check came up fine, The compression has gone up 25psi to a healthy 150psi.

I found the fuel pipe had a number of holes in it whilst I was changing the fuel line as part of a change to Aspen. May be why the saw died before I got it!

Working on my first ex-farmer saw! JeBus M Chripes what a disgraceful, disgusting mess!!

:thumbdown::001_rolleyes:

Any tips on cleaning out the crankcase without actually dismantling it? I'm resisting the urge to blast with carb cleaner in case the paint reacts...

Massively appreciate any tips as always!

As well as the normal service repair work over the last few weeks, I have had van problems which resulted in an impetuous decision to buy a new van.

Then had to fit it out, so all last weekend, and a couple of hours each morning before work and after work this week has seen it finished.

Now I can get back to earning money to pay for it.
