got a 08s in yesterday...

 

wouldnt start, brought at a boot fair for 15 quid.

 

cleaned carb now starts like a beauty, but wont run with chainbrake on, so looking at clutch tomoz.

 

and i cant begine to describe what a pita getting the chain cover off.......

 

still hopefully 261 parts in tomoz and another new silky in aswell.

Got a Pioneer P12 at a boot sale today, runs well, the guy said he could not start it.

 

Anyone got a spare chain brake hand guard and brake band?

 

I think mid seventies, is this one of the first top handled saws?

 

Canadian made, chrome bore must be a pro type saw.

 

I love the colour and the retro design, must be worth the £20 I paid for it

just weld one up.

 

That was the plan if there are no bits about, bit of steel tube then MIG weld it, it is a very tight bend though.

 

The band could be more of a challenge, should be able to cut down a longer one. Bit of trial and error getting the length correct.

Been given a 357 XP by a mate of mine which has a blown engine. I was going to use it as a spares donor for my own saw but I like the idea of having a second saw.Given the varying qualities of replacement pistons and cylinders, has anybody got any experience of these?

Try tesgol on eBay, has a 357 kit on there, or try the hyway kit
