And now you have an 026 with a dodgy flywheel to fix :lol:

You got it up and running yet?

 

Nope the flywheel was fixed. All it needed was a new woodruff key. The crank and flywheel where perfect. Lucky me.

 

No I'm afraid to admit and I don't really mind saying it. I will not be porting anything saw wise again. It ran then blew up. There is a Grand Canyon style gauge out of both piston and pot. So new pot and piston are needed. Looking at a meteor piston so just a pot to locate.

 

I've to no worries about admitting defeat on porting a saw and putting my hands up and say yes I tried it and it failed so now I know my limits.

 

Don't try you will never know.

 

So I'm sticking with doing mods on 200t's only. The rest will be fixing when broke. I'm leaving porting saws to the experts. :thumbup:

 

Ho hum.

 

On another note I have a Kawasaki strimmer going on bench with running problems. Not sure what they are yet, or I can't remember as its Xmas and more on my mind now than tools.

Shame about the porting Richard, still you tried. (thats more than I have!)

 

First thing to look at on the Kwak is the exhaust spark arrestor.

Yep I was going to head there. But sod it its Xmas last day working tomoz then its all downhill from there. :thumbup::lol:

Fixed a Tanaka combi sort of thing that had been shifted around the workshop ever since I started on the estate. My predecessor had replaced the return spring on the starter pulley the wrong way round which meant the cord stayed out when pulled. Was a bit worried when I gave the handle its 1st pull as there seemed to be very little resistance but it looks like it must have an 'easy start' type of starter. Once I had cleaned it all up and treated it to a new plug, it started on the third pull. :thumbup1: Probably turn out to be a pile of poo after all that. :lol:
