I expect you have tried it already, but the valve clearances are always an issue and should be checked first. Wide gaps mean that the valves are not open for long enough to completely scavenge the engine.

Check the plug gap, make sure its tighter rather than looser.

The mixture could be a little weak too, check the plug colour.

 

Mmmm valve clearences, Wolfmans face was a picture when I gave them a quick fettle and the pole cutter just sat there good as gold, purring like a kitten and revving out nicely:lol:

 

Thing was being a bitch - hence the comment about new tappet nuts - reckon they are shaking loose!

Thankfully nothing on the bench at the moment Sure the 200t is still playing up with the needing choking to start after turning off but its ok and earns me loads!!

 

Just sold 2 saws aswell so feel better Maybe the answer is to sell them all
