All this talk of age Rich...I am quite relaxed about mine, I am guessing that you approaching 30 yrs may be giving you some issues and you are wondering what might have been.

I quite enjoy kicking round the flea markets and bricabrack/antique shops, always something worth having!

I guess it will come to you at some stage but don't think you will be looking back at this era and its low quality goods and reminiscing about them!

Old age...pah, maybe on the outside but still have a sense of humour of a 12 yr old:lol:

268xp acquired ran like a dog, clean and adjust carb. Ran but made a racket on tick over and stalled when tick over was slow enough to stop chain moving. Readjusted carb to no effect. Replaced clutch spring to no avail. Found that even without engine running clutch engaged. Removed clutch and found oil pump drive inserted wrong way round, refitted, still wrong. Replaced clutch, starts ticks over and after tweaking carb revs freely and cleanly - nice

Damn straight, but my humour is of a 5 yr old.:lol::lol::lol:

On another note the 660 has an exhaust mod and the hole is now out the front.

And does anyone have the carb settings for a husky 435 please. It's ticking over and revving fine but the chain stops in the cut and it bogs a bit. Stupid carb screws aswell. Used a hacksaw to cut flat grooves in them.

Bet it killed you doing that muffler mod didn't it Rich - thought you weren't in to tuning:sneaky2::lol:

The dual port muffler ups the 066 HP by around 0.4 HP - should go a fair bit better now:thumbup:

It wasn't for a mod bud. Was a chain brake issue that I hope will sort it out. But it does snarl a bit now. Just need to get the flames:lol::lol::lol:

It has been a long time since I have done any brazing. Quite enjoyed it, made a change from the mig welding all day long. Took some practise, doing the round hole take a bit of doing stopping the braze from running off down the exhaust..
