Clean them, check the meter arm height, and check the low screw is all good and clean. Pop test the carb. Also check the diaphrams are ok. (Yes I know I can never spell it properly)

 

After that, impulse lines, crank seals, etc.

 

Cheers rich, was hoping you'd give advice on these buggers

Yep genuine stihl. Has the mark.

 

And yes I thought it was the wrong way on the pin end.....

 

Paperwork says 026, numbers on it. 1145/00a, anyone match these numbers so they can tell me what saw its for please. If it's a common saw then I don't mind keeping it and ordering another. If not it's going back.

 

Just a pain as it's close to Xmas and delivery on another part will take me past Xmas.
