Thoughts welcomed on Oak trunks.

Hi, I've got 2 large trunks that a client wants removing the dbh are 1000mm and 700mm respectively. I am concerned about the close proximity of the building to perform a straight fell and there isn't room to put a vehicle there. I am thinking it is going to be a crane job so would like to hear from anyone who has experience of crane work and would like to help out on this or if there are any guys out there who want the excellent value of timber and want to take on this job for the trunks. All the logs in the picture are from other trees dismantled, these ones had some large dead limbs removed which were overhanging the garage and now the trunks are to go. Another one of those jobs where the treework was not done before building work!! Have already told the client it will not be cheap to crane dismantle.

Don't fancy tying to butt, want to minimise any risk of damge, the ground is very uneven, How high a hiab can you get and reach the tallest is about 8 metres and at least 6 metres from the closest point of where the truck could park. Have had offers already in regards to taking trunk so it isn't a silly request just seeing if there are more, thanks for your positive input anyhow.

i use on a weekly basis hiabs from 15meter reach to 23, i think a member here used a 35m a few weeks ago. rent a hiab waggon, and they can deliver it straight to your yard.

Thats the cheapest and most obvious option.

They don't look that good for timber to me. Ring 'em up and sell the firewood.

If no good for timber then all wood will stay on site for clients own fire.

I'd be choggin it down. Helps control the cost to the client and keeps your profit up.
