Looks good mike.

Personally i wouldn't bother with the centre leg as i can't see the pressed steel clamp holding upto much weight.

Do you think it will be able to lift a builders bag of logs onto the trailer?

I find when lifting bags with the 4 loops on a single hook, they tend to stretch and elongate so you need more height to lift them.

Got my eyes out looking for one of these cranes now to copy your idea! Doubt i'll find one for the same price though! :sneaky2:

If you make an “H” frame the bags lift with less sagging

If you mounted this in the corner of a 16ft trailer could you pull the bags to it. Maybe the 800x800x800 bags would be better only .56 a cube but they could take 2 at a time.

Yeah it's a penny hydraulics one lifts 500kg max not sure what it is fully extended I'll have a look for you.

These Penny Hydraulics cranes lift their marked weight in all configurations, so its 500kgs all the time.

If I was building it to unload logs I'd probably put it on the side right between the two axles but I suppose you could put it in the corner and do that, it might end up being changed to that yet! But I wanted to try and keep the full loadspace free

Where are you based mate? The guy who I bought this off may get some more he's from dewsbury if that's any help.

I'm in south wales so a bit far to travel. I would definitely have one and pay for a courier if he could put it on a pallet. Let me know if you hear off him
