Thats Deano's name for it :001_tongue:

First thing I was asked on site was, "Are your lifting straps Loler tested"

"They'll be knackered by the time I get to the end and in the bin," I said

that is a very poor attitude

why not use chains on a chocker

your attitude should of been i am dragging not lifting

Did you know what loler stands for as its not latin

Ha ha ha

Yeh, I'm going to loer test shity old slings I use for pulling up shrubs, why would I want to do that Bob?

If you look one of the slings is brand new, it was knackered at the end of the day.

if your using it for lifting it should be tested how much would it have upset you to be kicked off site or if someone had got hurt you would be screwed

and if your going to knowingly knacker it in a day you should find a more suitable piece of equipment

will send a pic of my pulling chains that are bomb proof and safe

ps it,s LOLER NOT loer

Loler for what though Bob, for lifting a shrub that weighs a few kilo's.

You can only check the strop is in good condition because for jobs such a that, you cannot tell whether or not the strop is being over loaded anyway.

I have a set of chains but find they slip too much on the thinner stems.

If they'd have thrown me off site then no problem, I'll go do another job, I'm not into bull shite, that's why I do mainly domestic.

The tractor loader should have been checked also no??

If the straps were being used around persons or in a public area for lifting constant loads then I'd have been using new straps designed to lift the loads in question. But for tearing up roots contaminated with all sorts of rubbish.....

no mater how much you try to worm out of it they should have been LOER or whatever you want to call it and as you stated earlier or another thread

You should be pricing your equipment in with your daily rate so you don't have to scrimp and be tight. Your customers pay for your equipment not you

I don't expect them to pay for Bullshite.

BUT to be fair to you Bob, I did tell him I can go away, and come back with all the relevant paperwork and test certs but would just double my quote.

I don't mind one bit as long as my time is paid for.
