Ask Matt "buzz" about TP chippers

I know that at least one of the PTO versions could have screening sliver breakers fitted behind the blades. They probably fit on larger towable too.

We use Schliesing 220's at work which have adjustable roller speeds - with a good anvill and sharp blades my and the driver fill the truck up with chip ranging in size from grains of rice to house bricks!! :thumbup1: Moocho Fun!

m trac, sell a chipper that produces very small chip suitable for pellet boilers, cant remember the name of the chippe think its pc staal, but he was next door to use at the apf 2008 and was telling us about it, otherwise most larger biomass chippers you have to change the screens

If you get a good quality pellet mill they have an in built granulator so all you need is to put the chip through a 10mm screen and the granulator will do the rest. I use a heizohack with roller speed turned right down and a 30mm screen.

All Jensen chippers, from the 6" to the 12" come with adjustable speed in-feed rollers as standard, give me a shout on 07880 646067 or drop me a pm and we can arrange a demo for you.

Morning Ed, you never got round to buying me that beer at the APF!

GreenMech also fit an adjustable valve on their infeed system, but like a previous post says, slow speed gives dust and slow work rate with the added problem of heating the oil very quickly, something that one supplier found out by putting a big pump on a tracked machine for high track speed then having to fit a "gag" to slow down the rollers to the correct speed.

If you really want to produce dust - buy the right machine in the first place and not an arborists woodchipper!

Pete, how's it going, the beer is still in the pump and I will buy it for soon:thumbup1: give me a ring sometime.

As the initial request was for a small chipper there are not many small drum chippers with screens ie. less than 12". Variable in-feed speed on a disc chipper offers a solution to this problem all be it not the best one!
