Winch ??

Can any one recommend a good winch for pulling trees over im thinking tifor but not sure im after a handle one so not a powered one ?

Are we talking mounted on landrover? Tirfor will get more places but you will have to carry it!

Not truck mounted its for back gardens etc we had a tree the other day that was a pig we used a pulley in another tree redirecting the rope tied to a track machiene which pulled it over with ease so made me think handy bit of kit just not sure the best to get ?

 

Unless they do winches for iveco dailys lol:thumbup:

You can get a winch for any truck, you could even get a quick release mount and it could then be mounted front or rear!

 

Have you thought about using a fiddle block? Very light, very effective.

I bought a Jet winch several years ago from Landmark Trading and it's been good.

if you go for the hand winch option a good choice is to look on ebay for a ACE winch me and a few friends have bought them now £150 you get a solid well built winch with 20meters of cable

 

and we really have tested pulling trees over with it, pulling stumps out, pulling cars out of a ditch in the ice never let me down yet 1 of my best buys so far

 

i was thinking about 1 on the front of my tranny but i dont think i want to add more weight to it as it is

I recently bought an ACE winch too, seems decent enough, haven't had a chance to give it much use yet!
