Parbuckling.

Parbuckling is when you take the winch wire over the top of the log and cack to a stationary nchor point. The best way to roll/ move timber. You can move very very big pieces this way. Here is the last log to go on the ifor from this morning........and before everyone makes references to overloading, yes it was way overloaded, but it wasnt going on a public highway, so we didnt worry, just being moved abot the estate.:001_smile:

question; how come you did'nt just pull them up with the winch using a couple of strops to keep it central? i don't see the need to roll butts that size.

When I do this with my landrover and Ifor combo I place the landy where your red one is and pull them up straight, from the back of the trailer and they have come up a treat.

with your method is there not a good chance of damaging the cable?

Not a criticism just a thought.
