we all take care when using a chainsaw, but watch the old silky:blushing:

up a tree last thursday working for the council, there was small branch interfering with my rope,so cutting off with a sugoi and the blade came down on the right hand side of my left wrist, shouted down to groundsman,i am coming down, due to bad cut:blushing:

he strapped it up well, hes also a retained firefighter, and trained in heavy blood loss, got to hospital and got cleaned up,cut looks nothing, but was worried about numbness on top of hand around thumb and forefinger, had total use of hand for grip etc,but when over reaching the shooting pain in the hand was horrid.

possible nerve damage, well that was the fact, been to morrison hospital[sWANSEA][ today to burn and plastic ward, cut open the hand and had cut through the nerve, had to have it sewn back together, then stiched back up:001_huh:

NOT A SYMPATHY THREAD CHAPS,JUST A WARNING!

but if anyone wants to send my flowers:

STAY SAFE

MARTYN

I hear you loud and clear mate! I have countless silky scars and not 1 chainsaw scar. Did you ever notice how you always get at least 4 cuts, never less but sometimes more:thumbdown:

Take care and i hope it heals up quick so you can go get another one :001_tt2:
