i don't know how many of you guys use this on a professional level, but i bought one once upon a time in oz (for the third of the price of the ms 200t)so i could do a big weekend cash job. brought it home, and i seem to use it more than the ms 200t now. i think its awesome. very light with still very impressive power output. obviously in the case of cutting larger wood in a bigger take down the more powerful saw takes gold(still able for it though)

but for your thins, reductions and deadwoods, wins hands down IMO a must have. saves the shoulders

not that the 200 is heavy, but I really like the look of this saw...nice and nimble.

What sort of prices do they go for here?

about 300 quid on e bay new.my sister lives in idaho and is supposed to be getting her finger out to get me one and send it (£160 equivalent).perhaps we should set up an arbtalk lobby and pressure STIHL to sell them here.......but if we did i suppose they would be £400ish

Peter (18stoner) has one. With a muffler modification it's a good little saw

Cant recommend it enough! It always goes in the truck to every job, if its a takedown, i throw the 200 in also:001_cool:

You now can buy a MS192 with back handle in UK now, but not the 192t.

I have found out through a good source in Sthil Germany, they will not release them through UK dealerships as it will reduce the revenue they recieve from avid 200t users.:mad1:

They are available off the shelf here in Ireland at around 400 euro, found running it with a 12" bar made it a great saw although they don't cut as fast as 200t. At the last APF I was told by Sthil staff that they would not bring them into UK because of the affect on 200t sales !
