don't know about leaf minor causing smaller conkers?

theres a tree in our yard that gets leaf minor every year and last year the conker crop was the biggest and largest i have ever seen!!

trees will produce many smaller fruits/nuts in stress in order to reproduce at times of stress, the stress however means that the mass attempt at reproduction sees up to 70% infertile (panic) production.

Aesculus does either stressed by Cameraria ohridella (photo 1) or by Guignardia aesculi (photo 2).

Glynn Percival has studied and quantified the effects of stress ( leaf minor, bleedin' canker & Guignardia- whu ) on the fruit production ( Sorry- nUT ) and viability thereof in HC....

Whilst industry professionals of repute and standing claim the plight of HC is not threatened...how can a species procreate with unviable seed production ? It cant...can it ! ? Such is the gist of the studies conclusion !
