Of course there's no need to have lessons. Look up the stuff on the internet, have a practice. Try the test. Maybe I got lucky but it worked for me.

P.S Box or not trailer is dependent on vehicle age or something stupid like that....

The standard required is high, but if you're confident its worth a punt!

The test involves about 45 minutes on the road, urban, country roads and motorways, and some stuff in the yard.

An uncouple and recouple excercise. The hardest thing about that is getting the ball right under the hitch on the recouple. They dont want to see you having to move the trailer by hand. Make sure you do things in the right order, hand brake on before you unhitch etc.

A reversing exercise, drive into a box, reverse out and across the yard in an "S" shape into another box. The hardest thing about that is getting the end of the trailer lined up right, ie within 1 metre of the end of the box, without nudging the barrier at the end.

Emergency stop, easy peasy.

Few questions at the end, do some homework and they'll be no problem.

I can do it mm perfect every time.

Just buy a car with a reversing camera :001_tongue:

You dont need a reversing camera, just a small piece of electrical tape.
