To be honest I really like the way the navarra pulls we have a d22,so long as it's been recalled due to the engine fault there good pullers.Clutches can be weak supposdly but ours has never been a bother but if you ever replace one just fit an uprated one.We regularly tow 3 ton with ours over 35 miles each way.Hasn't ever missed a beat.Because it pulls so easily the ful consumption using BFG all terrains is actually pretty damn good.Although not on public highway it was in the woods we did have the trailer full up and past the ladder racks And the pickup bed full of fresh pine must have easily been 5 ton in it at least, the front wheels were hovering off floor,it never went above 2 thousand revs with that lot on just plodded on easily albeit steering was gauge as haha

I am surprised nobody has mentioned the landcruiser yet. Surely the ultimate tow motor?

Cost a fortune to replace the auto box when it failed pulling a 12t 360. First 5 miles were a dream to be fair.

I have a Lancruiser faultless apart from the 17mpg av when towing and telephone no parts if you break it ( which we do ) defender may be cramped cold wet and slow but at least you can repair it with chewing gum and gaffer tape.

Steve,

The Latest brochures for the Hilux state tow capacity at 2500kg, Plates on the vehicle state 2800kg, I am going with the vehicle plates if i get pulled:001_smile:

Just gets better we have an indestructable 1998 thing. Can you still tow 2800 if you load the buck with a tonne.
