Which Pick Up?

My old boss had a navara 07, the whole ordeal of loading logs was painful, oooh the paintwork, IMO these posh pickups are a bit precious for log work.

Ben, DON'T buy a cabstar as you know i've got one as far as being reliable i can't knock mine but if taken off road even down the track to my shed they are rubbish, i lost count of how many times i had tow myself out of my shed with the tractor last winter.

We use a 110 hi cap. The only thing is, as the name quotes, the back is huge and takes a lot of logs to make it look properly filled up. Sturdy as anything and logs just seem to bounce off it when you miss....

I would go for a 4wd and convert to tipper, good for those tight driveways and dont forget that snow we had in dec, save having to upset customers by delaying there del due to weather, you dont want to be postponing any deliverys in dec !!!!!

I use an old l200.Home tipper conversion.It cost peanuts to do and never let us down.It carries just over 2 cube with ease.Is alot better off road than the new ones and is a fair bit more durable.They change hands for £500 bats for fairly good one,dosnt matter if gets beat up then.

For delivering bags I'll just throw them in truck cab series 2 same if I'm towing large amount.

I have Vauxhall now, and not sure I can afford a newish landy tipper, although i would love one

 

Anyone got a kingcab with tipper?

Im not interested in a flashy pick up, it NEEDS tie down points and paint work that isnt afriad to get wacked a few times

As mentioned mk2 l200 but isn't a kingcab sadly.Ours has been rolled,bounce of trees and generally been battered.Paid £400 quid for it owes me nowt now.Had it popping wheelies uphill with few monster loads on.

What sort budget you wanting to spend?
